Doing a dial in CorelDraw is easy it just requires a little more thought when you are doing it. In this lesson we will show you how to create a dial that is composed of two different length strokes. When I create a thick outline my square edges get cut off

One of the problems that people have when they are resizing vector graphics is that some of of the outlines when made bigger lose there squareness at the edge. This is not a bug in the software but is a preset in the software. You can change this in the miter setting in the outline setup up or make it a default in the styles setup in options area.

JPEGS are good because most people can create them, the file size is small and when you say JPEG to someone they know what you are talking about. One of the ways to keep your objects lined up in CorelDraw is to use guidelines in your setup. In this article we will look at how to use guidelines. Guidelines are also usefully in aiding design in terms of we can have our drawing snap to a guideline. I like to use guidelines when I want to ends of a logo to line up. Laser Job from an email

Here is a job one of my dealers asked us to do. This is not a hard job but he did not have a laser so we did the job for him. He emailed me the suggested setup from his customer. I also had to go to Brands of the World to import the lions logo for him. I had to copy the text paste it into CorelDraw, than format the text. The next step was to import in the lions logo than output the job to the laser so that I could engrave it onto acrylic.

Converting an Excel spread sheet into a CSV file
